accepting repairs to the putative UBL 2.2? If not, we need to limit
additions in order not to let the process be further delayed (remember
that because of our commitment to backward compatibility, we can work
quickly on 2.3 after 2.2 is finished without risking stakeholder
investments)
- agreed by the committee not to continue to add anything major to
UBL 2.2 and to focus only on minor repairs and then use this first
public review as our first step towards finalizing UBL 2.2
UBL 2.3
- agreed to formally open requirements for UBL 2.3 from now until end of 2018
- Ken will annotate the committee's home page accordingly
- target release of UBL 2.3 will be end of 2019
- summary: three years to standardize a version, but a version is released
every two years
