Eddie,

I will vouch for Betty's credentials.  She has been an ACTIVE supporter of
XML standards from the very early days of XML.  She has helped other
industries develop XML DTDs and has participated in and led many committees,
although I am not sure of any within OASIS in her past.

Also, Eddie, if you and others on the LegalXML SC can provide Scott McGrath
with potential members he can contact, please do so.  Also, please let Carol
Geyer and Dee Schur know of any industry events in the next 6 months where
we can help organize a strong presence.  We have the marketing and
recruiting staff to assist, but we need your domain skills to give
direction.

Betty,
I'm glad to hear you were lurking on the list.  It would be nice to have
your assistance in getting this TC formed and moving forward.

Your contacts in the legislature will be most helpful.  As you may know, the
European Parliament is also a member of OASIS and they have been discussing
ways to bring ParlML into OASIS.  I know of a number of vendors also
interested in legislative XML projects.
