Regd XML Digital Signatures

Hi,
i have a query reg XML dig signatures and XML encryption packages...

is there any publicly available implementation for the above or both are
still
in their standardization stages. i have to implement some xml encryption /
dig signature
routines in my project...so wud appreciate any pointers in that direction
