XML 1.0 is not simple let alone very simple. It's simpler than SGML and
binary formats but that doesn't make it very simple. CSV files &
S-expressions on the other hand are very simple. Of course, once you
start comparing XML to technologies like RDF, XSLT, XML Schema, etc then
it does seem simple in comparison.
