Impasse/permathread warning.  

I believe that this is a Tower of Babel project that will collapse
because of the very nature of information and communications.  It'll
work fine at a small scale, but it's not going to reach the sky, and
probably shouldn't.  

Hopefully this wave will pass as its predecessors have.
