First, sorry for the repeated messages earlier. My hard drive filled up and
my emailer didn't recover until I deleted its outbox. Oy. Again, my apology.

Second, I couldn't make heads or tails of Shelley's story. I'm known for
missing subleties, I'm sure it's totally obvious, but I don't get it.
