Objects are not data - they are a proprietary/binary representation
of data that need 'object-interpreters' on both ends. And the wire
may not be a wire - it might be a message bus which understands
those objects.

XML is data without any assumption of 'interpreters' on either
end plus it does not impose a medium of transmission.
