Question on CDATA Sections

Hello,
Whenever I use CDATA sections in my .xml files, when I parse the string
inside the CDATA section, I am ending up with a LF character at the end of
the string which I have to manually remove. I would like to know why this is
happening. I use  a standard Java DOM parser.
