Another practical limitation is multi-user access. While some DOM
implementations (especially PDOMs) might allow this, my guess is that
most don't. If you are using an XML document as a database and your DOM
implementation only allows one user into the file at a time, you are
going to have real problems in a lot of real-world applications.
