on Polling Pending resolution

I would like to have it clarified that the poll request can be used to 
obtain info for all groups
which could have had their messages acked by other reply patterns than 
polling reply pattern.

The poll reply pattern value accompanies the poll request in any case..

Does anyone disagree with this interpretation?
