This I find this an odd statement - scalable?
Actually to me adding namespaces to things reduces the
likelyhood that it will be parsed correctly everywhere - so
its definately an inhibitor to interoperability.
The original premise behind namespace - that there would
be unresolvable name conflicts - is IMHO - flawed - as it
assumes an unrealistic flat information model - where
XML is all about hierarchy and therefore context of use
is self-determined by the structure.
The new idea - of adding content into a structure as
"annotations" is a valid use - but thats' a very narrow
useage to have to pay for everywhere....
