    Liaison reports

       TM: The UN/CEFACT Forum is meeting this week in Senegal.
       UBL will be represented by Martin Forsberg.

    Subcommittee report: PSC

       TM: Nothing new.

    Subcommittee report: TSC

       AS: Did not meet last week; trying to find more convenient
       time for TM.

       AGREED to hold TSC calls 13 and 20 November at 6:30 Thursday
       evening New York time.

    Issues list updates

       TM: We received an important comment regarding problems with
       UTF encoding of quotation marks in the documentation section
       of certain UBL 2.0 spreadsheets.

    Review of Atlantic call minutes

       No comments.

INTERNATIONAL DATA DICTIONARY

    JB: 60-day review has begun.

FORMATION OF TURKISH LOCALIZATION SUBCOMMITTEE (TRLSC)

    JB: We are starting formation of the TRLSC.  A formal default
    ballot creating the subcommittee should be out to the TC some
    time this week.

UBL WORK SCHEDULE

    The extent to which candidate UBL requirements are taken from
    BII work products was discussed, but no decisions were reached.
    This item will be continued in next week's agenda.

ADVANCED ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE (XAdES)

    ACTION: JB to check on progress (and also status of FIRTG).

NEW OIOUBL PROFILES

    AS: Ole Madsen reports that 10 new procurement-related OIOUBL
    profiles are in progress but that none are available in English
    yet.

    JB/TM: New OIOUBL profiles ready for public release should be
    pointed to from ubl.xml.org even if they are not in English.

CONFORMANCE AND CODE LIST VALIDATION

    Discussion of the relationship of code list validation to UBL
    conformance was deferred till next week.

2009 TC MEETING SCHEDULE

    19-23 January 2009 in Fremantle

       Expected attendance: TM, MC, GKH; possibly AS, MG, AH

       From minutes of 30 September:

          "TM: Urgently need to know who will be attending and also
          able to present on Friday of the meeting.  This
          information is needed for a proposal to a prospective
          sponsor.  It would be particularly valuable for someone
          from Europe to speak regarding BII."

    20-24 April 2009 (colocated with UN/CEFACT Forum)

       ACTION (9/30): TM to arrange possible colocation.

       TM: This will be discussed in this week's UN/CEFACT Forum
       meeting.

    17-21 August 2009

       JB: Balisage organizers have confirmed availability of a
       meeting room at the Europa, so we are now set for this.
