CouchDB and RegRep / REST v4?

I just saw this article:

 http://www.linux-mag.com/cache/7597/1.html

Piqued my interest - since CouchDB from Apache has a REST interface and is document oriented.

Seems to me you could frontend this with a regrep server - doing search and management thru regrep - and then direct access to content via REST-api to CouchDB.

Not looked at it further than this for now - but would be interesting to do deep dive into the REST api to see what is what there...

Thanks, DW
