Hi Duncan - no, not required. It is there on the interface as an option but we never require it. Doesn't hurt of course but you still need to take roll call at the event.

I just noticed it was there and assumed both in-person and remote needed to rsvp since it allowed for both choices (as well as it allowed for sending regrets).
I assumed it was the usual reasons for RSVP'ing - so everyone would know who else could and couldn't make it but maybe it's because it was the first meeting and they needed to figure out quorum. If Chet says it's optional, then ignore my email.

Duncan – why do remote attendees need to RSVP?
Typically other OASIS meetings do not require this before the meeting. Recording meeting attendance typically is done during the meeting.

Reminder for everyone to RSVP for the OpenC2 Kickoff on Wed. There should be an 'RSVP' next to the meeting on your OASIS homepage. And if you are going to attend
in person, you should follow the directions on the RSVP and also let Joyce know. But even for remote attendance, you should RSVP. As of now, there are only 8 RSVP's of the 70 members.
I'm reminding everyone since I didn't realize we needed to do this until I was on my OASIS homepage for a different reason and noticed the RSVP :-)
