re Draft revision of OASIS membership agreement

I am appalled that you should be looking to move from "click through"
membership to physical or digital signatures on applications.

This is a move in the *wrong* direction.  If your lawyers have told you
that this is the best thing to do, then they have been asked the wrong
question.

Most people taking part in OASIS working groups do so in a spirit of
friendly co-operation with people who in other contexts may actually be
competitors.  If OASIS wants a long and successful future as a standards
organisation it will do so by supporting its members and making it easier
for them to work together - not by imposing quite unnecessary legal modes
of operation upon them.
