E-Discovery

ECF TC and LegalXML Steering Committee:

I received a call today from a reporter with Law Technology News Magazine doing a story on industry standards.  He mentioned that the LegalXML site had not been updated recently – we will need to update it after our face-to-face in October.

He also asked if we were aware of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).  Their XML schema and documentation is available at:

I will add e-discovery to our agenda for the October ECF TC meeting and will reach out to EDRM to make sure they are aware of our work at LegalXML.  E-discovery is a logical area for new work in the LegalXML Member Section.
