Having chapter titles with numbers and figures without chapter prefix

Hello

So far, I have failed to find a suitable xsl param combination for having 
numbers in chapter titles but not in figures, tables etc. Idea is to have 
figure titles like: Figure 1, Figure 2 instead of Figure 1.1, Figure 1.2, so 
that numbering would increase throughout the document (and chapters).

Setting chapter.autolabel=0 works for figure titles, but then I need them for 
chapter and section titles.

Any ideas?
