This should work (although I didn't test it ):

    <xsl:choose>

      <xsl:otherwise>
        <xsl:value-of select="$body.font.master * 1.2"/>

    </xsl:choose>
  <xsl:attribute>
</xsl:attribute-set>

Let me know if it doesn't work.
