I used to do this (but no longer have the time). it usually took
about 30 minute and would involve the following:
Conversation about why someone joined the TC; What their
interests are; what they want to get out of TC membership; any
current volunteer needs that we have that they might meet
Explanation of our weekly calls and the subcommittees
Information about our Wiki, SVN, Kavi, etc.
I'm sure that we could make this more systematic. And
productive for everyone.
