Revision of How are Today pages created? from Fri, 2007-01-12 09:57

The Today section consists of index pages (News, Events, Products, Services, and Resources) and nodes, which are entries that appear within each of the index pages.  Index pages are created and edited by OASIS staff; advise staff if you'd like to make any changes to the index pages.

To create a Today node:
  1. Make sure you're logged in.

  2. Select the index page that's appropriate for your content.

  3. Choose the "submit" link in the upper right corner of the index page.

  4. Add a title for the page using sentence case capitalization.

  5. Designate a path alias for the page (optional). Note: the site's domain name will be automatically added, so just type in the characters you want to appear after that. Do not use underscores or camel case. If you use multiple words, separate them with a hyphen.

  6. Enter your content into the "Body" field. Complete other fields as specified in the form.

Forums and Blogs are also included in the Today section.
